The ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ Sugar Skulls experienced quarterback issues in their first two games of the season, so they signed two quarterbacks last week.
One of ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥â€™s new additions at quarterback, Jorge Reyna, led the Sugar Skulls to a 44-24 win over in-state rival Northern ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ Wranglers Saturday night in Prescott Valley.
It’s the first win of the season for ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥, which snapped an 11-game losing streak dating back to last season. ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥â€™s previous win was 51-50 shootout against the Vegas Knight Hawks on May 18, 2024. Ironically, Reyna was the quarterback for Vegas.
Reyna completed 10 of 16 passes for 109 yards and a touchdown, while rushing for three touchdowns on Saturday.
ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ running back Devonte Sapp-Lynch also scored a rushing and receiving touchdown in the win over Northern ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥. ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ scored on five of its six trips inside the red zone.
