The first structure of a privately funded sports and entertainment complex on the city’s south side is on the rise.
The Iceplex is now visible from Interstate 10, near Kino Parkway.
When complete, the sports venue will be a 175,000-square-foot arena exclusively for the University of ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ men’s club hockey team.
ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ Hockey will be expanding with three additional teams, women’s division I and men’s division II teams, as well as an adaptive sled hockey program.
The arena will feature 3,000 seats in a sunken seating bowl with a reserved bar rail and cocktail table sections.

The Ice Plex facility under construction in the Mosaic Quarter of the Kino Sports Complex. When complete, the sports venue will be the arena for the University of ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ men’s club hockey team.
The Iceplex will also be home to student intramural hockey, broomball, open skates and special student events.

It is part of Phase I of Mosaic Quarter, which also includes the MQ Field House, a 131,000-square-foot indoor sports hub with interchangeable flooring for sports such as basketball, soccer, volleyball and pickleball.
