Thursday’s ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ will include a donation envelope to help send local boys and girls to camp this summer.
As is our tradition, we kick off our summer camping season fundraiser on Rodeo Parade day, which is this Thursday.
Our goal is to raise $190,000 to send 650 kids to camp.
Last year, 647 local boys and girls were able to go to weeklong overnight summer camp at a cost of $207,757.
The ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ Sportsmen’s Fund raises money so children from low-income households and military families can attend overnight YMCA, Boy Scout and Girl Scout camps and Camp Tatiyee, for school-age children and older teens with special needs, at little or no cost to their families.
Since 1947, the ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ Sportsmen’s Fund has helped pay for 40,070 children to go to camp. We’re one of the oldest 501c(3) charities in ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ and one of the most efficient in our giving, with 98 cents of every dollar going to send kids to camp.
