ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ concluded its second week of spring football practices on Saturday at ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ Stadium.
Here are some notes and takeaways from Saturday's session:Â
* ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥'s starting offense on Saturday was quarterback Noah Fifita, Texas State transfer running back Ismail Mahdi, wide receiver Chris Hunter III, Washington State slot receiver transfer Kris Hutson, Kansas State transfer receiver Tre Spivey III, tight end Tyler Powell, Michigan transfer left tackle Tristan Bounds, Hawaii transfer guard Ka'ena Decambra, center Grayson Stovall, right guard Alexander Doost and Texas Tech transfer right tackle Ty Buchanan.Ìý
* ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥'s starting defense was defensive end Tre Smith, UT Martin transfer defensive tackle Deshawn McKnight, Texas transfer defensive tackle Tia Savea, edge rusher Dominic Lolesio, Texas State transfer linebacker Max Harris, linebacker Taye Brown, San Jose State transfer cornerback Michael Dansby, Stanford transfer defensive back Jshawn Frausto-Ramos, free safety Genesis Smith, strong safety Dalton Johnson and Texas transfer cornerback Jay'Vion Cole.

* Redshirt freshman Brandon Phelps has been a rising prospect at receiver this spring. The 6-3, 198-pound Phelps is a crisp route-runner and a deep ball threat. Phelps concluded his high school career at American Leadership Academy - Gilbert as a state record-holder for most career receiving yards (4,475), touchdowns (60) and receptions (271). He redshirted last season.Ìý
* Redshirt senior Shancco Matautia took reps at center. Redshirt junior Grayson Stovall and Decambra have taken reps at center this spring. Matautia was Fifita's teammate at Servite High School (Anaheim, California) before playing guard at New Mexico. Matautia transferred to ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ last year.Ìý
* Redshirt senior nose tackle Chubba Ma'ae changed jersey numbers from 99 to 55 and worked with the offensive line on Saturday. ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ offensive line coach Josh Oglesby couldn't disclose if Ma'ae is an offensive lineman, but it appears Ma'ae is switching sides. Ma'ae's was recruited to play center out of Long Beach Polytechnic High School (California), but played defensive tackle at UC Davis and ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥.
* In ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥'s first field goal period, sophomore Michael Salgado-Medina and redshirt senior Cash Peterman swapped reps. Salgado-Medina missed both of his 33-yard and 41-yard attempts. Peterman made a 36-yarder and a 45-yarder.Ìý
* Several ex-Wildcats were in attendance on Saturday, including NFL-bound offensive lineman Jonah Savaiinaea, Cincinnati Bengals tight end Tanner McLachlan, "Leap by the Lake" quarterback Ortege Jenkins and defensive back Tra'Mayne Bondurant, who was on the Pac-12 South championship team in 2014. Bondurant is currently coaching ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ Soldiers, a youth football organization in ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥. Former ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ Diamondback and ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ Sidewinder Junior Spivey was on the sidelines to watch his son Tre Spivey.Ìý
* Former ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ linebacker Antonio Pierce, who was the featured speaker at the UA coaches clinic this year, also attended practice and roamed the sidelines. "Always great being back in Bear Down country," Pierce said in a video posted on the .Ìý
