The list of ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ Wildcats in the NFL grew by one on Friday, then shrunk again.
Scooby Wright was added to the ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ Cardinals' active roster, two days before their scheduled opener at Detroit. Wright, a linebacker, spent last season with the Cardinals before becoming a training camp casualty this year. He rejoined the team as a practice-squad player earlier this week before being added back to the active roster.Â
Minutes later, Kadeem Carey — the UA's all-time leading rusher — was waived by the Bears. Carey, a running back, was on the team's injured reserve after undergoing wrist surgery last month. The Canyon del Oro High School product could latch on with another NFL team once he is healthy.Â
Fridays news means there are now nine ex-Wildcats on active NFL rosters: linebacker Marquis Flowers (Patriots), quarterback Nick Foles (Eagles), kicker Nick Folk (Buccaneers), safety Robert Golden (Steelers), tight end Rob Gronkowski (Patriots), nose tackle Earl Mitchell (49ers), safety Will Parks (Broncos), linebacker Brooks Reed (Falcons) and Wright.Â
