Former ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ guard Caleb Love is expected to sign a two-way contract with the Portland Trail Blazers, according to ESPN's Shams Charania, after he was not taken in the NBA Draft on Thursday.
ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥â€™s Caleb Love – one of the most prolific scorers in college basketball – is expected to sign a two-way NBA contract with the Portland Trail Blazers, sources tell ESPN. Love went undrafted and now lands a deal to be on the Blazers’ roster next season.

The two-way contract would allow Portland to shuttle him between the Trail Blazers and G League affiliate Rip City, which plays in the University of Portland's arena. Two-way contracts are expected to pay over $600,000 next season.

The Trail Blazers had only one pick in the draft, taking Washington State's Cedric Coward, but traded him to Memphis in exchange for No. 16 pick Yang Hansen of China.
Draft prospect ratings from ESPN, The Athletic and all listed Love in the 60s, suggesting he would be one of the top available undrafted players. The NBA Draft held its first round Wednesday, when former UA forward Carter Bryant went with the 14th pick, and held a 29-pick second round on Thursday,
The Wildcats' leading scorer last season and the 2023 Pac-12 Player of the Year, Love was not invited to the NBA Combine but did play in the G League Elite Camp and worked out privately for NBA teams.

Love worked out for Portland last month, telling media afterward that NBA executives have told him they like his physicality and defensive potential, but that he knew he would have to improve his shot selection while playing with better talent in the NBA.
“My decision-making on the catch, making quick decisions, I think that’s gonna help me,†Love said.
ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ coach Tommy Lloyd said he was “100% sure†Love would be in the NBA next season, though he also indicated Love would still have work to do.
“I think the right person is … going to make a well-informed basketball decision, and they’re going to be like, ‘Caleb Love is really talented. I don’t know how many guys can go out and score 35 points, easy, on Duke,’†Lloyd said. “I mean, he showed you something there. He might be a little inconsistent but I know there’s not too many guys that can do that.
“I’m very confident that Caleb’s going to earn an opportunity to be on an NBA roster. Then from there, he’s got to make the best of it.â€
