The ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ gymnastics team is heading to the Sweet 16 after the Wildcats edged 10th-ranked Georgia for second place in the NCAA Regional Semifinal in Seattle on Friday.

The Wildcats qualified for the regional final for the first time since the new four-site regional format started in 2019. ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ is one step closer to competing in the NCAA championships for the first time since 2002.
ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ finished in second place behind Missouri with a 196.250 score; the Tigers had 197.650. Georgia had a 196.175 score, while the Wildcats’ in-state rival ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ State finished with 196.050.
UA senior Emily Mueller had a season-high 9.850 on uneven bars, and senior Alysen Fears tied her season-best score (9.850) in the vault event.

ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ will compete in the NCAA Regional Final at Alaska Airlines Arena in Seattle on Sunday at 5 p.m. on ESPN+.
