Like Daniel Hernández, I, too, was proudly born and raised in the Sunnyside community. As a long-time educator, I was at Sunnyside during the era with a corrupt superintendent stealing from our kids. As the youngest elected School Board President, he was the only school board member with the tenacity to speak up and do something about it. Local elected officials remained silent. Daniel's leadership led us to the recall of this superintendent, steering us toward a new era of transparency, accountability, and progress for Sunnyside. Daniel has repeatedly proven that he is willing to be bold and speak truth to power, regardless of whether it wins him friends or political points. Daniel delivers. He has always shown up, stood up, and delivered. Now it's time we show up for him this special election. We need someone who knows his constituents and is willing to listen to them. That's why I'm proud to support Daniel Hernández for Congress.
