A pedestrian was struck and killed Saturday evening on Interstate 10, authorities say.
The unidentified pedestrian was in the westbound lanes of I-10 near the Speedway exit just before 7:30 p.m. when the crash occurred, the state Department of Public Safety said.
The crash, which involved a commercial vehicle, closed the westbound lanes for hours.
No identifying information about the pedestrian had been released Sunday morning. Next of kin had yet to be notified, DPS said.
No charges are pending, the department said.
