A major crash on eastbound Interstate 10 at Avra Valley Road has caused serious traffic delays in both directions of travel, authorities said.
The ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ Department of Public Safety and Northwest Fire District are on the scene dealing with a fire that was caused by the crash, according to a tweet from the Town of Marana.
Both directions of travel were previously closed to traffic, but the westbound lanes have since reopened, according to the ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ Department of Transportation.
One eastbound lane has reopened and drivers are advised to expect delays in both directions.
Northwest Fire posted a video of the aftermath of the crash, saying that a car crashed with the semi and became wedged under the truck, starting a fire.
Video from the I-10/Avra Valley incident this morning. A car collided with the semi and is wedged under the truck causing the fire. Incredibly the driver was able to get out of the car and has non-life threatening injuries. WB lanes opened, EB restricted.

The driver, who was able to escape from the car, is being treated for injuries that are not life threatening.
