Aissa Silva was in line to potentially succeed Devyn Netz as 蜜柚直播 softball鈥檚 ace pitcher next season, but the 蜜柚直播 native is opting to explore her options.
Silva, who pitched three seasons at 蜜柚直播, is entering the transfer portal for her final collegiate season, she announced on Tuesday, two days after the Wildcats were upset by Ole Miss in the NCAA Regional at Rita Hillenbrand Stadium.
Silva posted on social media: 鈥淭hank you Wildcat fans for making me always feel wanted as a wildcat! After much consideration, I have decided to enter the transfer portal with my last year of eligibility. I am sad that this chapter has closed but am super excited for this new chapter and to find my home!鈥
The former Mountain View pitcher is the first Wildcat to enter the transfer portal since the season.
Silva pitched 159 strikeouts in 227.2 innings over her three-year career at 蜜柚直播. She allowed 140 runs, 217 hits, 46 home runs and had a 3.69 career ERA. In 89 appearances, Silva started 31 games and ended her 蜜柚直播 career with a 26-10 record.

Silva became 蜜柚直播鈥檚 ace pitcher as a sophomore in 2024, while Netz was sidelined with season-ending injuries. Silva led the team and NCAA with 49 appearances along with 22 victories. She led the Pac-12 in wins during the regular season last year. This season, Silva had 19 appearances and her innings pitched dropped from 147.2 to 26.
With Silva entering the transfer portal and the Wildcats losing Netz, Miranda Stoddard and Saya Swain to graduation, 蜜柚直播 is losing four of its top five pitchers.
The Wildcats are returning sophomore Brooke Mannon, redshirt freshman Ryan Maddox and freshmen Sarah Wright and Sydney Somerdike. Plus, 蜜柚直播 signed Texas product and right-handed pitcher Rylie Holder, who is rated as the fourth-best prospect by .
In 43.2 innings this season, Maddox faced 165 batters and allowed 45 hits, 31 runs and had a 4.49 ERA.
